The function of the Director of the BTLMD is to oversee the entire Departmental operation and to supervise its human resources, to ensure all the business functions of the service delivery system are being adequately carried out. It is the responsibility of the Director to ensure that all matters and issues relating to land use and occupancy of the Blood Reserve are addressed in a manner that is in the greater interest of the membership of the Blood Tribe and the sustainable use of the Blood Reserve and its natural resources. The Director is also responsible for addressing areas of administration that require improvement and liaising with the tribal (BTA and the Land Management Committee) and federal (Canada) governments and other non-government agencies and individuals, on matters relevant to Blood Reserve land use and occupancy.
